Francisco J. Marcano-Soltero, D.M.D.

Since 2003, Dr. Marcano has given residents of Sarasota, Manatee, and surrounding areas exemplary care for outstanding smiles. He cares about your oral health and offers quality therapies to keep you smiling for years to come. Dr. Marcano believes in preventing dental problems to keep your mouth healthy and strong. Dr. Marcano was born in Puerto Rico and obtained his DMD from the University of Puerto Rico School of Dentistry. He stays current with modern dentistry though continuing education and prides himself on delivering modern care performed with compassion and attention to detail. Dr. Marcano is also an alumnus of the Hornbrook Group, the world’s leading organization for clinical excellence in cosmetic dentistry. He currently holds membership with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, West Coast Dental Association, Academy of GP Orthodontics, Mid-America Orthodontics Society, Light Force Orthodontics, and International Association for Orthodontics. In addition, he is working toward his accreditation with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

Linda O’Brien

Patient Coordinator/Dental Assistant

A graduate of Indiana University with a CDA in Dental assisting and X-Ray certification, Linda has been with Dr. Marcano since 2004 and has almost 30 years of experience in dentistry. She enjoys coming to work every day and values our friendly team and fantastic patients. Linda and her husband have three children. Outside of the office she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys taking her jeep to the beaches and outdoor activities.

Cate

Patient Coordinator/Dental Assistant

Cate graduated from Manatee Technical College as a Certified Dental Assistant with Expanded Functions in 2013 and has been both a chairside and administrative Dental Assistant ever since. She is currently serving as the Chair of the Dental Assisting Advisory Committee at Manatee Technical College. As the newest member of our team, joining in December 2015, Cate comes from a background in both pediatric and general dentistry. Outside of the office she enjoys running, kayaking, and spending time with her husband, daughter, and nephews.

Kayla

Dental Assistant

Kayla graduated from Manatee Technical College in 2013 as a Certified Dental Assistant with Expanded Functions. She has had the pleasure of working with Dr. Marcano ever since. She really enjoys getting to know her patients and making their experience comfortable and pleasant. Kayla is a member of the National Technical Honor Society and a board member for Manatee Technical College’s Dental Assisting Committee. She and her husband Terry are proud Tampa Bay Lightning fans. They enjoy outdoor activities and spending time with friends and family.

Michele

Dental Assistant

Michele grew up in Bradenton. She received her training as a Certified Dental Assistant from Manatee Technical College and has been assisting for 13 years. She enjoys educating patients about their dental care and using this information to ease any anxieties about treatment. In her spare time, Michele and her husband enjoy the Florida outdoors, day trips, and traveling the USA and beyond.

Lori

Dental Hygienist

Lori graduated from Hawkeye Institute of Technology with dual enrollment at the University of Northern Iowa. She moved to Florida in 1984 and enjoys quilting and crocheting, traveling, riding motorcycles, and spending time with her husband David and son Brian. Lori can often be found on a cruise ship soaking up the sun and making the most of life.

Candy

Dental Hygienist

Candy is a Registered Dental Hygienist who has 30 years of experience in the dental profession. She graduated from Daytona State College in 1998 with an AS degree in Dental Hygiene. She began her dental career in 1986 at Manatee Technical Institute where she graduated as a Certified Dental Assistant. Not only does she perform periodontal procedures for her patients in the office but she also focuses on helping her patients develop an effective routine for themselves at home. She is a Sarasota native, a proud tree hugger, and animal advocate who is involved in animal rescue and projects to save the environment. She is the mother of two retired greyhounds and a foster aussie.
